Waardi is focusing on the following areas – Land and Housing, Early Literacy and Social Benefits. Waardi is committed to offering the best services to achieve our goals and vision to create long term social benefits for Members for generations to come.
Land and Housing
Waardi is developing housing assets on the land provided through the Agreement. The assets are held by Guumbarr as the Trustee of the Land Trust and further information can be found on the Guumbarr website.
Waardi is committed early literacy in the Kimberley. It is coordinating the following programs:
- Kimberley Reading Recovery. Waardi funded this program from 2013 until the end of 2016. Further information can be found on the Services drop down menu.
- Literacy Acquisition for Pre-primary Students (LAPS). Further information can be found on the Services drop down menu.
- Building Babies Brains (B3) – a working title. This project is in the development stages and focuses on the 0-3 year olds. The project will compliment, rather than replace existing child care programs.
Waardi has received benefits that are managed by Guumbarr as the Trustee of the Jirrajun Trust. Further information can be found on the Guumbarr website.
